How it works

From first message to first visit

Starting with a new provider shouldn't be complicated. Here's exactly what happens, and what you'll need along the way.

1. Get in touch

Send us an enquiry with a little about yourself and what you need help with. If you'd rather talk it through, tell us the best time to reach you and we'll get in contact.

  • No obligation and no cost to enquire
  • You can ask a family member or carer to contact us for you
  • Support coordinators are welcome to get in touch on your behalf

2. We plan it together

We have a proper conversation about your goals, your day-to-day routine and the support you're after. Then we match you with a worker who suits you.

  • We talk through your NDIS plan and goals
  • You tell us your preferences and what matters to you
  • We match on personality and skills, not just availability

3. Agree the details

Before support starts, everything is written down and agreed so there are no surprises — what support you'll get, when, and how it's funded.

  • A clear service agreement in plain English
  • Agreed times, tasks and expectations
  • You can change things later if your needs change

4. Support begins

Your support worker starts visiting at the agreed times. We check in with you regularly to make sure it's working the way you want.

  • The same worker each visit wherever possible
  • Regular check-ins with you and your family
  • Easy to raise anything that isn't right
Funding

How your NDIS funding works

There are three ways NDIS funding is usually managed. Whichever one you use, we'll explain how it works for you before anything begins.

Self-managed

You manage your own NDIS funding and pay for supports directly. We provide clear invoices and records to make claiming straightforward.

Plan-managed

A plan manager handles your funding and pays your providers on your behalf. We invoice your plan manager directly.

NDIA-managed

The NDIA manages your funding and pays registered providers. If you're NDIA-managed, check that your provider is registered for the supports you need.

Funding arrangements depend on your individual plan. If you're unsure which applies to you, we can talk it through together.

What to have ready

You don't need much to start a conversation. If you have some of these handy, it makes the first chat a bit quicker.

  • Your NDIS number, if you have one
  • A rough idea of the support you're looking for
  • Any goals or plan documents you'd like to share
  • A good time for us to call you back
